Oh God, No...

When Ralph Lauren introduced it’s Black Label clothing lines, which mostly consisted of fabrics that had a skull & crossbones print, I finally lost all hope for the flagship store at 71st and Madison, which used to be my favorite spot in the City. It might have been the end, but for the Paul Stuart store at 45th and Madison - there, at least, I could find Classic styles, like the slim navy suit that hasn’t changed since my dad bought one in the 1970’s (I appropriated that suit, which is still my favorite - don’t tell my brother).
But if this hat is any indication, that could all change. Those bastards have taken one of the most Classic materials - Crocodile skin - and slapped it on the trendy Trapper Hat that can be seen on every 5th hipster in the East Village. Anyone who grew up wearing a blue blazer knows that the only approporate use of Crocodile skin is on a belt. I didn’t think it could get worse than Croc skin shoes, but today I am proven wrong. Shame. Utter shame.
